Example #002 - Is this why it’s called the “Hero Section”?
Hey — it’s Deepak
Cooked up a bunch of worries in my head that will never be true and yes wrote this.
Reading time - 1min & a few more seconds
This is a simple example you can try today.
The hero section (first section) has 3 jobs:
Know
Trust
Scroll
1. Know
What do you do? or your business does?
Title:
You are not writing a novel. Remember, people scan and judge in milliseconds, keep your title short and impactful.
Visual:
Help the user imagine what you do.
2. Trust
Can I trust this person or brand?
Put social proof in the hero section itself.
3. Scroll
Does it earn the scroll?
Subtitle:
Use subtitle to explain the title further, keep it short but enough to spark desire.
Like the above example made me say: - “How” “I need to check this out”
CTA:
Put the next specific step user have to take.
“One-click sign up with Shopify”
A study by Unbounce found that a strong hero section can increase conversion rates by around 40%. - Maybe this is why it’s called the “Hero Section” get it “HERO”
Appreciate you reading. It really means a lot.
If you found it useful, consider sharing with someone who might be interested.
